To carry on with its green initiatives, BNA is in the process of completing its Electric Battery Storage Project. It will involve erecting a solar panel charging station and acquiring electric motorized equipment for testing and use on the land. This will be installed by the BNA Health Centre area in the community’s Industrial Park.

Equipment for this project include an electric boat motor, electric golf carts, an electric lawnmower, electric bikes, among other items. We are working with NCS on this project.

The First Nation is hoping to showcase this technology to other First Nations throughout the region. It is another example of BNA’s strive to develop as a green, forward-looking community.
